Mark Bidwell has extensive experience catalyzing and driving change in market-leading companies such as BP Oil, The Hay Group, and Syngenta in a variety of marketing and leadership roles.
Mark's initial exposure to disruptive innovation involved launching London’s first home-delivery supermarket, followed by introducing the first web-based consulting product to European clients in 1995, which formed the basis of a business that today generates revenues approaching $150m.
Most recently Mark led the creation and development of a global $2bn Specialty Crops business unit, part of a leading agribusiness company. In that role, he focused on transformation through business model and service innovation, which resulted in market share gains and margin improvement by capturing growth opportunities in mature, heavily regulated markets.
Mark is passionate about growth, change and innovation, both at the individual and organizational levels, and by the impact of technology on business.
Born and educated in the United Kingdom, Mark earned a master’s degree in social anthropology and international relations. Since 1999, he has lived in the US and Switzerland while working globally. He serves on the board of a software business and a venture-philanthropy charity, and he works with several businesses that are bringing transformational products to market.
